About Us

Erica Rood established the Design Studio in early 2003.  Her design ability stems from her artistic background, scholastic training (BA California State University, Sacramento) along with her professional prospective gained working in the industry as a residential and commercial interior designer. 

As a designer, Erica Rood is skilled in client programming, space planning, finish selections, and construction administration.  Her ability to sketch out ideas and artistic rendering skills are valuable when conveying design solutions and ideas to her clients.  She is an Allied ASID member and an award recipient for an innovative home office design (ASID 2001).      

A room should have personality.  Design of residential spaces should always reflect the personalities of the people living in them, not the personality of the interior designer.  The atmosphere of a room is governed by the use of color, materials, lighting and furniture. The goal of the designer is to find the atmosphere of your personality.   

Style, function, comfort and practicality are all key to successful design.  Knowing this, our goal is to provide high quality service, always recognizing the needs of her clients while providing interior design that is delivered on time and within budget.
